Aarya Gowda is an upcoming Junior at Young Women’s Leadership Academy, and her work is dedicated to improving public health education for all, shaping her motivations to serve on the League of National Minority Youth Voters.
She currently serves as a Youth Advocate for Healthy Futures of Texas, creating public health educational campaigns and proposals to discuss with legislative staffers. Beyond that, she serves as an officer and Co-founder of HOSA, where she delivers educational informatics to the students of Young Women’s Leadership Academy. At the intersection of health and policy, she works with CR3, Citizens for Radioactive Radon Reduction, assisting in radon research and obtaining radon testing certificates. She also serves as the co-founder of EmpowerHealth, a nonprofit based on expanding health education access for low-income communities. And most of all, she loves to write.
Driven by her passion for public health education, Aarya hopes to major in public policy and psychology in her future endeavors in college. Through her time in the National League of Minority Youth Voters, she hopes to expand civic engagement for all.
