Councilor Vince Jones-Dixon was unanimously appointed by the Gresham City Council to fill vacant Position 3 on July 21, 2020. He was elected to serve a four-year term on Nov. 3, 2020, and sworn into office on Jan. 5, 2021.
Vince is a native Oregonian and graduated from De La Salle North Catholic High School in Portland. After high school, he studied communications and broadcasting while pursuing a career in the death care industry at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham.
His wife was raised in Gresham and they are the proud parents of two young children. As a family, they enjoy spending time together at local community events and city parks.
Professionally, Councilor Jones-Dixon has been serving families as a funeral director for over a decade. Recently, he also worked as a program manager for an international nonprofit.
He is excited to continue his service as a city councilor where his priorities include community safety, community engagement, homeownership and entrepreneurship.
