Sagar is a junior at North Allegheny Senior High School dedicated to immigrant advocacy and equality in the finance space. As founder and CEO of Futr, Sagar is advancing immigrants’ financial equality via a free, online tax assistant, helping 9000+ immigrants with taxes every year. Along this trend, Sagar is the founder of the National Finance and Economics Collective’s immigrant financial literacy program, bringing quality immigrant-tailored financial literacy education to 3000+ immigrants in February.
Outside of community impact, Sagar is also an avid researcher. Working in international policy and its implications on immigration, Sagar makes waves in the research community. Currently, Sagar is an intern at Penn State University, writing a paper on theoretical tax policy. He hopes to share this research with not just the research community, but legislators at large in an effort to create a worldwide understanding of the issues at stake.
For his work, Sagar has been recognized as a Junior Achievement 18 under 18 Community Leader, featured on KDKA, SLB Radio, the Post-Gazette, and billboards around PA.
Sagar also loves boba, Taco Bell, tennis, and all things business.
