Sania Abraham is a senior at Hebron High School in Carrollton, a suburb of North Texas. Her work is dedicated to supporting a community for the next generation through quality education.
Most recently, Sania has served as a legislative intern for two members of the Texas House of Representatives, where she’s worked on bills that champion rights and opportunities for minorities in the DFW metroplex. Additionally, Sania will serve as the incoming Vice Chair for the SBOE Student Advisory Council, an independent commission that works with members of the SBOE to provide student stakeholder input on legislative matters.
Beyond legislative work, Sania serves as the founder and Executive Director of the Youth Civics Network, a volunteer organization that closes the gap in civic literacy through facilitated after-school civics lessons in over 10 states, has raised thousands of dollars, and has partnered with various elected officials and the New Jersey Department of State.
Outside of organizing, you can find Sania enjoying malatang restaurants in her area or listening to music.
