Jennifer is the Associate Vice President of Human Resources for Pacific University’s General Counsel. She has 20+ years’ experience in both the tech and the sportswear industries providing legal, business development, international trade and human resources advice.

She was inspired to become an attorney by an experience that impacted her family. They were working for a farmer in eastern Oregon who knew their crew was in the fields but allowed aerial spraying because it was too expensive to reschedule.

She earned degrees in Biology and English at Pacific University and her Juris Doctorate at Lewis and Clark College’s Northwestern School of Law. A registered patent attorney, she was the first Latina to practice at Schwabe, Williamson, & Wyatt and also worked for Viewpoint, Infocus Corporation, NIKE Inc. and Keen Footwear before returning to Pacific. She is one of only four Pacific Northwest attorneys to receive the Hispanic National Bar Association’s “Top Lawyers under 40 Award.” In 2017, she received Lewis & Clark Law School’s Joyce Ann Harpole Award, one of the most distinguished awards presented to Alumni.

Jennifer’s personal interests include fishing, writing and gardening.
