Thristan Lundy is an incoming senior at Abington Senior High School in Abington, Pennsylvania. He has a strong interest in political science, economics, law, and civic engagement. He is passionate about empowering young people through civic education and creating pathways for youth voices to be heard in public policy and community decision-making.
In his community, Thristan serves as a Teen Senator, where he works on youth-led substance use prevention and advocacy initiatives, and as a Young Barrister with a restorative justice youth court program eradicating the school-prison pipeline. He is also the founder and president of his school’s Economics Society and has participated in several youth leadership and civic engagement initiatives focused on voter participation, public policy, and community advocacy.
Through these experiences, Thristan has developed a strong interest in the intersection of law, public policy, and economic opportunity. He hopes to study political science and economics in college and become a corporate attorney. Through the League of Minority Voters National Youth Council, he looks forward to amplifying youth voices, expanding civic engagement opportunities, and helping strengthen democratic participation in communities across the country.
