Aishat Iginla is a student and advocate for the education of the academic and professional development of minority youth. Her passion stems from facing hardships and having a lack of understanding on how to break into the professional world at a young age due to her background. She has worked on various teams aiming to amplify the youth voice regarding how they want to see both their lives and their community changed for the better. She also does volunteer work in tutoring and the college application process. Aishat is currently a student at Columbia University studying Mechanical and Civil Engineering. She is involved in a variety of clubs and organizations, including Design for America, the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee, and the Society of Women Engineers.
