The League of Minority Voters invites you to their Inaugural Event for CA
TIME: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm PST
Come and join us to celebrate the official launch of the California League of Minority Voters. The League is a non-partisan group of community advocates, grassroots organizers, government officials, and business leaders from all political backgrounds.
We serve as liaison between communities of color, policy leaders, and institutions. The organization was established in Oregon in 2007 to foster voting rights discussions, promote representation, encourage voter participation, and build strong community partnerships.
Working with an extensive network of community partners across the country, the League is laying a boisterous path and igniting community passion for civic engagement at all levels of society.
Our goal is to increase minority representation in all spectrums of our electoral systems and process development. Join us for our Southern California launch party, learn more about us and join the movement.
Our Mission:
Our organization is a non-profit 501(c)(3 )dedicated to the empowerment of minority voices within the community and government. We strive to foster a strong connection between communities of color, policy leaders, and institutions, acting as a bridge to facilitate communication and understanding.
Values:
We believe the responsibility of good governance rests on the shoulders of all citizens. We believe that our organization models and enhances the principles of good governance. We believe that citizenship requires knowledge as well as the ability and will to act. We believe that the rights of both majority and minority citizens are interdependent.
